Hi David, the audio book I'm working on now is making me think of you and your big teaching project.
This book is by a cultural anthropologist, and the main thesis is that humans have evolved as intergenerational transmitters of an ever-increasing repository of shared culture and knowledge.
The part that made me think of you was in one of the early chapters of the book, talking about how as humans, even as young children (from the age of two years), we learn to recognize who among our elders has the most valuable information, and the most effective method of teaching it.
This is done by recognizing actual accomplishment and life experience.
Later in the book I've read about how part of the transmission of culture, knowledge etc., is the transmission of methods of teaching (which certainly are not instinctive)
And humans are adept at recognizing this as well -also from a very young age.
So I can't think of anyone better to learn from than you, when it comes to arranging, music production, engineering etc. for these reasons.
Kudos for undertaking this project. You are doing a great thing. -P.S.
