Priceless info. David is the difference between talking to a real live heavyweight boxer and talking to someone who plays boxing on his x box. - J.Y.
David, It has also been an absolute honour to take your seminars. You have been a jet-pack my friend. I am fully aware that this level of education does not happen in a University or College as the instructors are generally teachers and not doers. I also appreciate that to apprentice with a real-world, working professional of your calibre, comes with a price tag in the tens of thousands per year. Your array of knowledge spans classical composition to every imaginable piece of software. I have studied with world-class instructors and you are the most well-rounded and pragmatic yet. Ya can't buy, steal or get this stuff for Christmas. - P.N.
re: our Compression pt 1 session … Oh my gosh. I’m on my second pen, seventh page of notes and my heart is racing! Thankfully I’m watching the replay!! I have to rewind often to catch everything or just catch up and I can take a breather half way here before I have a heartattack! C.B.
Your wisdom and generosity has been beyond a pleasure and a significant game changer for me and I am sure many others. -A.N.
I was telling him the other day that he's like a cyborg sent from the future to help us... I kinda think that might be true. Three times this week, I had three separate producers gush over my vocals. One asked if I tuned them myself (and was shocked to hear that I didn’t), another said how much fun they were to mix because they were perfect, and the other was just happy!

100% of the credit goes to David Levy. I’m telling you, this guy has totally revolutionized my work flow and confidence. I’m no longer a rinky dink basement operation. His Tips Q&A community has blown up my world in a very good way. I look back at me one year ago and I’m amazed. Thank you David. -K.S.

For those of us who shied away from the hype....thanks for your alternative universe. -D.H.
this note from a veteran pro of many decades and Tips participant…

Hi David, the audio book I'm working on now is making me think of you and your big teaching project.

This book is by a cultural anthropologist, and the main thesis is that humans have evolved as intergenerational transmitters of an ever-increasing repository of shared culture and knowledge.

The part that made me think of you was in one of the early chapters of the book, talking about how as humans, even as young children (from the age of two years), we learn to recognize who among our elders has the most valuable information, and the most effective method of teaching it.

This is done by recognizing actual accomplishment and life experience.

Later in the book I've read about how part of the transmission of culture, knowledge etc., is the transmission of methods of teaching (which certainly are not instinctive)

And humans are adept at recognizing this as well -also from a very young age.

So I can't think of anyone better to learn from than you, when it comes to arranging, music production, engineering etc. for these reasons.

Kudos for undertaking this project. You are doing a great thing. -P.S.
David's sessions are like the ultimate internship. David's taken all these scattered pieces of info I've learned over the years and glued them together in one fell swoop! YouTube videos offer a word and a paragraph where David offers the whole book. LOVE Tips and Q&A!!! -K.F.
I’ve been part of the ‘Tips’ learning community under the tutelage of David Levy and it has been the single most helpful and enjoyable learning experience I've had since... well, probably kindergarten. Every session is gold. Each time David Levy speaks (writes) it is as if the heavens open and light shines down... seriously though, your comments are so stinking helpful, David.
…a generous master craftsman and master teacher. -A.Z.
Sensei David is the best!!! -L.C.
You were my first friend at 6figures class, and I must say, you are all about class! Your brilliance is never at anyone else's expense and with all your knowledge you still have the patience to explain things clearly & even humorously to us mere mortals. - J.P.
And just when you start thinking "there can't be much more to learn" along comes bloody David Levy and you feel like you're in kindergarten again.. lol You are very well appreciated in this group and I know for my part at least, that it's a pleasure to associated with a real pro who doesn't need to prove anything and happily packs his ego in a box in the corner to assist us with such openness. -P.M.
Regarding the content of your videos i'm so relieved/delighted to hear a voice of reason coming from your years of professional experience. Thanks for leading us in such a positive direction. As you've mentioned, so many of the pieces we hear now, have issues that simply aren't addressed. Maybe some people aren't ready for professional analysis? Personally, I really want to work in a meritocracy. I don't need people to tell me what I want to hear! -C.J.
So glad I met David Levy last year! Stuff he's shared on recording/producing/mixing has increased the quality of my songs immensely. I think he's on a mission from God! -J.S.
I think it's admirable of you to want to 'pass the baton' to others. And it must be frustrating to have to attempt to do that in this time of digital-dumbing-down that the world is going through. You can see it everywhere - digital vs ‘real’ - and as you well know, at the cost of quality too often.

But holding up quality and showing how to do it the right way - with skill, respect, reverence, care - that is worth a great deal. Those in the group understand that, I know - making the ‘art’, creating something that is not just throwaway, but instead has depth, some attempt at longevity - something assembled with care. That’s what you are saying with Tips & Q&A (your approach)_. It’s valuable stuff - especially now…. so carry on! -C.B.
I am blown away by how thorough your info in ergonomics pt1 was. Thank you ! -PN
